New technologies, like virtual design and visualization, are often used in the construction industry. They are:

• Building Information Modeling (BIM)

• Immersive technologies

VDC is software, used by engineers, to work on virtual environments and visualize the construction of structures before they are built in the physical world.

The hardware tools to experience these virtual environments are desktops, mobile devices, and augmented and virtual reality headsets.
