What Is the Future of Artificial Intelligence in Construction?

In this series, we will explore the use of Artificial Intelligence in the construction industry.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a computer program impersonating human cognitive functions, like problem-solving, pattern recognition, and learning.

Machine learning is a variant of AI that uses statistical techniques to allow computer systems to "learn" from data, without being definitely programmed. The more the machine is exposed to data the more it will understand and provide solutions to solve the issues analyzed.

AI can be integrated with other technologies on the job such as building information management, sensors, wearables, and other monitoring tools to make better-informed decisions in real-time, reducing construction costs through improved forecasting and construction management.

AI can also promote safety by analyzing photos of the job site and identifying hazardous situations or high-risk trends in worker behavior.

We will review if AI can transform construction and the benefits and challenges you can expect.
